Before retiring, Ms. Johnson served as a Human Resources Executive with broad responsibilities across all areas of human resource management. Her work in training and development led her to facilitate programs in Mexico, Canada, Europe, South Africa, and throughout the United States.

She holds a Master’s degree from the University of San Francisco, along with a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She also earned a Lifetime Community College Instructor’s Credential.

Ms. Johnson’s longstanding commitment to community service includes her involvement with AARP through the Community Presence Team (CPT). She is a founding member of the Foundation and a past President. Although her presidency on the Commission on Aging has concluded, she continues to support its work and mission. In addition, she remains actively engaged in her church community.
